Brad Keselowski and the 2 Crew had high hopes heading to Kentucky, but by the end of the night, the 2 car simply couldn’t keep up.

Despite beginning the Quaker State 400 in P3, from the drop of the green flag, BK noticed something was off about the car. He quickly dropped outside the Top 5 and noted the car had no grip. After stopping for fuel only on Lap 49, BK led the race to the restart, but he once again faded fast. By Lap 136, the Discount Tire Ford was a lap down and despite the 2 Crew’s best efforts to repair the issues plaguing the No. 2 car, they never got the wave around back to the lead lap, forced to settle for a P20 finish.

“”I don’t know, we’ll need to get back to the shop and figure out what happened tonight. We just didn’t have the speed with the Discount Tire Ford Mustang. I thought we had a good shot to compete for the win but that just wasn’t the case.”
